"Since installing the Chirp Protect alarm tagging system, we've seen an incredible turnaround in theft prevention - virtually zero losses on high-risk items like beer, wine, and steaks. Previously, we were regularly targeted, with 12-packs of beer, boxed wines, and bottles of wine being stolen. Shoplifters would simply pick up a case of beer and walk straight out.

Now, our wine is secured two deep with tamper-proof bottle tags, beer packs are protected with wrap tags, and boxed wines have adhesive tags. These tags are not only visible deterrents - they’re also highly effective, alarming if tampered with or if someone tries to exit the store without deactivation.

The system is easy for staff to use. As soon as a tag is deactivated at the till, it’s promptly returned to the shop floor and reattached to new stock, ensuring that our shelves remain fully protected at all times. The tags are simple for staff to remove and reapply, making the process quick and efficient.

Since introducing Chirp Protect, would-be thieves don’t even attempt to steal these items. The system has restored our confidence. Staff feel safer and more in control, and I can finally fully stock the shelves without worrying about losses. It’s made a significant difference to how we operate."

"From a group perspective, we’ve been extremely pleased with the results Chirp Protect has delivered across our estate. We are a Morrisons Daily' operator at all sites, with five forecourts and two convenience stores  - currently, we have Chirp Protect installed at four of these locations.

We're now exploring further integration between the Chirp Protect ITS Box and our CCTV systems. This would allow us to timestamp theft attempts, streamline footage retrieval, and automatically send incident recordings to relevant devices. It’s a powerful tool for aiding investigations, increasing incident reporting, and contributing to databases like Facewatch - helping us stay one step ahead of repeat offenders.
