Five ways the Compact Tag protects your products

The Compact Tag incorporates five alarm functions, designed to detect different attempts to interfere with or remove a protected product.

Loosened
If someone attempts to slacken or loosen the retractable cable, the tag detects the change and triggers its alarm. This helps identify interference before the product can be removed or concealed.

Tampered with
Any attempt to force or pull the tag away from the product triggers an immediate audible alarm, alerting staff and drawing attention to the incident.

Cut
The cable is continuously monitored. If someone attempts to cut through it, the tag activates its loud built-in alarm.

Exit
When used with compatible detection systems, the Compact Tag alarms if a protected product passes through an active exit detection zone without being properly deactivated.

Post-exit
Protection doesn't necessarily stop at the shop door. With its own built-in alarm, the Compact Tag continues to sound if a protected product is taken out of the store, helping draw attention to the theft and encouraging product abandonment.
Together, these five functions provide multiple layers of protection, making it much harder for someone to remove a product without attracting attention.

Used with Chirp Edge, retailers can create invisible protection zones around key areas of their premises without installing traditional security gates or detection panels.
Simply position a Chirp Hub at an exit or another area you wish to monitor, such as a café, toilet or outdoor space. The Hub establishes a protected zone, with an alarm triggered when a tagged product is taken beyond the designated area.
This provides retailers with greater control over where protected products can be taken, helping to address theft from more than just the main shop entrance.
The Compact Tag is also compatible with traditional RF and AM EAS antenna systems, making it possible to introduce the technology alongside existing security equipment.
